A Time to Celebrate

August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady, is a time to celebrate in the Church, but it also happens to be a special time to celebrate for the Ursulines of Prelate. It is the day that many of the Sisters made their vows - publicly expressing their commitment to God and the community. The Sisters celebrated by gathering at St. Angela Merici Residence for Mass and renewing their vows during the Eucharist. This was followed by tea in the atrium. Sr. Brigitta Haag received special attention because she, at 103, was celebrating her 85th anniversary of vows

In the evening, those Sisters who were able, came to the generalate for a BBQ hosted by Sr. Anne Lewans. The food was great and the weather cooperated beautifully. The whole day was a stand-out event.
