A Sea of Red

Valentine's Day needs to be celebrated! And that's what the residents at St. Angela Merici did on February 14th. Everybody was invited to wear red and to don some adornment. An Elvis impersonator sang Elvis' famous love songs. There was a quiz about traditions to do with love; eg.: why does the bride get carried across the threshold? Because a stumble by the bride would signify bad luck for the marriage...

The participants competed for prizes in guessing the number of chocolate hearts in one jar and red and pink jelly beans in another. Lastly, everybody got to decorate cookies with colorful icing and sprinkles, and the best part...eating them.
