A Double Feast

August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady is a Feast in the Catholic Church. But it is also a special feast for many communities, so also for the Ursulines of Prelate. It is the date when the majority of Sisters made their profession of vows. It is a time to celebrate and this year, there were some special anniversaries. Sr. Lucille Bleile celebrated her 85th anniversary, Sr. Germaine Rosenberger, Sr. Margaret Sautner, and Sr. Jane Jochim celebrated their 70th anniversary. Unfortunately, Sr. Jane could not be with us. But she was prayed for and remembered in the celebration of Mass during the renewal of vows and as a delicious meal was shared by the residents of St. Angela Merici Residence and visiting Sisters alike. Those who were able joined in a barbeque at the generalate in the evening.
