Incarnation Incomplete Without Hospitality
From November 4 to 7, 15 Ursulines spent time on retreat with Fr. Glenn Zimmer, omi. In his seemingly simple message about hospitality, Fr. Glenn offered anything but simple thoughts. He talked about how the guest has to be receptive and that receiving is necessary before giving. In the incarnation, God first received hospitality from us. Hospitality is about seeing - how we see each other. We have to offer hospitality to all, including that which is flawed in others and ourselves.
Centering prayer and beautiful liturgies were part of the retreat and offered time to be apart and renew and refresh our relationship with God - and through offering 'hospitality' with each other..
