From the Sublime to the Silly

On January 27th, the Ursulines of Prelate opened their 100th Jubilee year with gusto. The celebration was to have taken place on January 1st, but had to be postponed due to an outbreak of the flu. But even the flu cannot keep the Sisters down. On the 27th, the Feast of St. Angela (foundress of the Ursulines), prayer, feasting and fun were on the agenda. The evening started with a prayer service, was followed by a delicious supper, moved to a program of solemn and silly performances and ended with popcorn and floats. Fun was had by all and it was definitely a fitting way to open a jubilee year. Lots of pictures to help you imagine...
