In a spirit of deep gratitude and joy, the Ursulines of Prelate are preparing to celebrate their 100th Anniversary in 2019. At the Community Assembly on October 25, the planning committee shared some of the events they are scheduling for both the Sisters and the public.

The main celebration will be on June 1 at Holy Family Cathedral. The Ursuline Sisters (and family members), Ursuline Associates, Ursuline collaborators, former students, friends and partners in ministry are all invited to mark their calendars and plan to join in the festivities. Details will be announced through various diocesan media.

The Sisters themselves will also mark the jubilee year with something special each month beginning January 1, 2019 and ending January 27, 2020. Feastdays, historical events, and traditions will be occasions for various gatherings and other creative ways of celebrating and nurturing our community bonds.

Also on the agenda at the October 25th meeting was the topic of the legacy the Ursulines of Prelate want to leave behind. Lively discussions brought forth many ideas and suggestions, with the emphasis very much on our charism - "Educating for Life" .
