After seven years as administrator of St. Angela Merici Residence, Theresa Winterhalt is retiring and hanging up her habit of going to work every day. Family, staff, board members and residents celebrated Theresa's contribution over these years and said a tearful good-bye. The celebration began with Mass where Fr. Eugene offered a prayer and the whole congregation joined in blessing Theresa. In an East Indian ritual, Theresa, Ralph and the congregation exited under a silk canopy. Mass was followed by lunch and a short program which was not short of affirmations and kudos for Theresa. Someone must be expecting Theresa and Ralph to travel a lot, because the staff gave her a gift of a lime green suitcase. We know that that suitcase is filled with many good wishes. Theresa did receive a small treasure box filled with written good wishes from staff and residents.
