On June 20th, about 20 Sisters gathered to do some planning for the coming months, but also to listen to a presentation about the Saskatoon Mothers' Centre located in Saskatoon's core neighbourhood at Station 20 West. Shantell and Rahilah gave a lively presentation about the centre which has been called "a public living room where women meet to support one another." This includes conversation, food, peer support and support for breastfeeding mothers. Pregnant, new mothers and grandmothers mingle and share their wisdom. The centre offers vital services but is always in danger of being shut down due to funding cuts.
