Living the Charism of St. Angela in New Ways

A group of thirteen Ursuline Sisters (One member from the Bruno Ursulines) gathered on January 2nd to begin dialogue around “Living the Charism of St. Angela in new ways”. Sister Lucy Palm facilitated the day and Sister Bernice
helped create the agenda and led the prayers. The first sharing was on the question: “How would you name the charism of St. Angela today from your lived experience?”

The afternoon had the Sisters engage in a dialogue with St. Angela in a prayer setting on:

Questions from our hearts:

What has this time of “unknowing” (the long period of no new membership) been like for me?

What are some new ways of living the charism?
What would the formation, way of life and support of new members look like?

The group gathered in general assembly and shared their dialogues, all of which were rich in the gleanings from praying on the questions from our hearts.

The day closed with the question: Where to now?
Based upon the reflections of this day, where are we being led? What are the next steps?

The group did not come to any definite decisions except that we want to meet again and continue the reflection and dialogue. It was suggested that we meet in June of 2010 and that the group remain small in order to facilitate a depth of sharing
